Seeking a personal relationship with Jesus

How to Have a Relationship with Jesus Christ

To become the woman God created you to be, it starts with one thing: a personal relationship with Him. You weren’t made to figure life out on your own or chase purpose apart from your Creator. When you walk with Jesus, you begin to discover your true identity and the life He designed specifically for you.

A relationship with Jesus isn’t about religion or rituals—it’s about knowing Him personally and trusting what the Bible says about who He is and who *you* are in Him. Here’s a simple path to begin that journey:

01

Recognize Your Need

We all fall short. We’ve all sinned—whether in thought, word, or action—and that sin separates us from God. Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” And Romans 6:23 tells us the outcome of that sin: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

In other words, without Jesus, we’re spiritually lost. But God didn’t leave us there. He made a way.

02

Know That Religion And Good Deeds Are Not Enough

Many people try to reach God through religion, self-effort, or just “being a good person.” But none of those things can erase our sin. Proverbs 14:12 warns us, “There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way to death.”

We don’t earn our way to God—we receive grace. Ephesians 2:8–9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

03

Believe The Good News: Jesus Is THE Way!

God saw our need and sent His Son. Jesus lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose again so that we could be made right with God.

John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Through His sacrifice, Jesus became the way to forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life.

04

Respond: Believe, Repent, and Receive Christ.

It’s not about fixing yourself first. It’s about trusting in what Jesus has already done.

Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” That promise includes you. Right now, you can call on Him—believe in your heart, confess your need for Him, and surrender your life to Jesus.

A Simple Prayer To Begin Your Relationship with God: God,
I know that I’ve gone my own way and sinned against You. I can’t save myself.
Right now, I turn to You and ask You to be my Savior.
I believe Jesus died for me and rose again.
Please forgive me, cleanse me, and fill me with Your Spirit.
Make me into the woman You created me to be—strong, bold, and full of purpose.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer, welcome to the family of God! Heaven is celebrating, and so am I. This is the most important decision you’ll ever make—and one you’ll never regret.

But don’t walk this road alone. Becoming the woman God designed you to be will take faith, strength, and community. Surround yourself with other believers who will encourage and equip you in your new walk with Christ.
